Meet Daniel, our tutor here at the Drumzone. He has been playing drums for over 25 years and has had lessons from the very beginning. His passion and love for everything drumming have seen him work professionally in the industry for 15 years as a tutor, session, and touring musician. He has studied with some of the country's top tutors, including Pat Garvey, Gary O'Tool, and the legendary Bob Armstrong, with whom Daniel studied for almost 9 years, specialising in jazz and technique until Bob's sad passing in 2017.

Along his journey, he's been fortunate enough to play in bands from the very beginning starting out guesting with his dad's local band at age of 10, to forming his first band at 12, and performing in front of thousands at festivals and venues across the country. This has led Daniel to a wealth of experience in performing and touring with several bands over the years and a greater understanding of what is required to become a successful touring and session musician.

Daniel's unique custom syllabus is based on his experience from having tuition from day one and his love for always wanting to learn, study, and improve in his own studies. Every lesson is tailored to the learner, so their needs and goals are prioritised.

Daniel also specialises in RSL Rock School drum grades from debut (entry) through to grade8 (professional). Having sat these grades himself, he knows what is required to achieve the best results. Other specialties include technique and advanced technique studies, as well as rock and pop drumming.

Daniel has also taken his teaching into schools, currently working as a peripatetic tutor at Welling School and Longfield Academy respectively. All ability levels are catered for, from those starting with their very lesson to improvers looking to develop in specific areas of their craft. Full DBS certified.
